Today the FDA announced that meat and milk from cloned animals is as safe as that from their counterparts bred the old-fashioned way.

I read that in the paper that day also, and was pretty appalled. The article said that these animals could be on the market for human consumption in as early as 2 years. My boyfriend asked (when I told him about it) - are they going to be clearly labelling this? It would be even More terrifying if it was covertly slipped into supermarkets. Hopefully there will be enough consumer opposition that cloned animals will not be bred for food.
